I’m a graduate of Milton Academy, Bates College, and the MFA program at the University of North Carolina in Wilmington. I was trained in filmmaking at the Maine Media Workshops in Rockport, ME.
In 2013, I directed my debut feature film, West of Her, which I also wrote and produced, through my production company, Corner Piece Productions. West of Her played at eleven film festivals in the US and Canada in summer 2016, winning Best Narrative Feature at four of them. Hailed by critics as "enchanting," "mesmerizingly beautiful," and "full of mystery," West of Her is set for worldwide distribution in fall 2017.
My two-act play Why Are You Nowhere? was the winner of the Playwrights Award for Staged Reading at the Midtown International Theatre Festival in July 2016, and had its first full production at Southeastern Louisiana University in February 2017. My short play Ode on a Donut Shop was produced in February 2017 at the Stage It! festival in Bonita Springs, FL and published in an accompanying collection. My one-act play Bag of Nails was workshopped in June 2017 at the Last Frontier Theatre Conference in Valdez, AK prior to a staged reading at the Shawnee Playhouse in Shawnee-on-Delaware, PA in August, and my most recent full-length play, The Healing in the Air, will have a partial staged reading in December 2017 in New York City through The Bechdel Group.
I currently live in the Boston area with my wife, Caitlin, and our daughter, Nora.
